Drop-off & Pick-up Procedures
Grooming is by appointment only. Drop-off on the morning of your appointment is between 7am-9am. At the time of drop off your groomer will discuss grooming instructions as well as a pick-up time. In order to make sure each pet in the care of our groomers gets the individual time needed for their specific grooming, we schedule our pick-up times based on the dogs, clients and groomers needs of each day. We encourage an earlier drop off if your schedule needs require more options for pick-up times.
Cancellation Policy
We require a credit card upon booking & 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Cancellations without 24-hour notice or a no show will be required to pay 50% of their pets grooming price for the missed appointment.
Required Vaccinations
Rabies Vaccine and the combination vaccine DHLLP.
Admission
We reserve the right to deny admittance to any pet lacking proof of vaccinations, and/or displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively aggressive pets requiring extra staff and/or additional time so that we may deliver proper care.
The Barking Lot is a family owned business providing boarding, grooming and training for both cats and dogs. You can rest at ease when your pet stays with us knowing that we have some of the most experienced staff in the Greater Des Moines Area, and we treat your pet as one of our family; providing care that is tailored to each pet’s unique needs.
